Negotiations between Pakistan and IMF mission officials will continue today.

According to sources, IMF officials will be briefed on FBR reforms, tax collection, and other issues.

Sources say that a briefing will also be given on the State Bank’s plan to issue new plastic notes, on more immediate measures to reduce tax collection this fiscal year.

According to sources, the IMF will also be briefed on issuing country reports under the United Nations Anti-Corruption Convention.

In this regard, sources say that the IMF had set a condition for Pakistan to prepare a port from experts on the efficiency of anti-corruption institutions, this condition has to be implemented by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Law.
