SYDNEY: Pakistan-born Australian batter, Usman Khawaja urged Australia to tour Pakistan, while talking to media on Sunday.

"میں نے ہمیشہ برصغیر، بنگلہ دیش، بھارت اور خاص طور پر پاکستان میں جہاں میں پیدا ہوا، میں بہت زیادہ حمایت حاصل کی ہے۔ جب میں پی ایس ایل (پاکستان سپر لیگ) کے لیے وہاں موجود تھا تب بھی وہ حیرت انگیز تھے۔ میں وہاں واپس جا کر کھیلنا چاہوں گا،‘‘ اس نے کہا۔
Khawaja made a comeback to the Australian Test team in the fourth Ashes encounter at the Sydney Cricket Ground, where he scored two hundreds.
“I believe Australian cricket has a fantastic opportunity to give back a little.” I explained to the lads that although they haven’t seen Steve Smith or you play cricket, they may still be motivated by a new generation of cricketers who watch them on television. Just to be motivated to go back there takes a generation.
“I think visiting a country like Pakistan, which has seen such prolonged hardship, is the best way to give back to the game. So, not just for me, but also for all those young boys and girls out there, I’m hoping that we can go there for Pakistani cricket,” he said.
Australia is anticipated to play three Tests, three ODIs, and one T20I during the tour. The Tests start on March 3 and the T20I is the last match of the trip, ending on April 5.
