South Africa levelled their four-match Twenty20 international series against Pakistan with a comfortable six-wicket win in the second match at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Monday.

abar Azam made a stunning ninety runs in Sunday’s second Twenty20 international at the Wanderers Stadium against South Africa, but Pakistan’s long run of series wins came to an end.

South Africa took a commanding 2-0 lead in the three-match series with a thrilling seven-run victory. Pakistan has not lost a Twenty20 series since they were eliminated from the World T20 in India in March 2016.

Miller commended new fast bowler Lutho Sipamla and left-arm spinner Tabraiz Shamsi for their economical middle-overs bowling prior to the late-innings collapse, even though neither player claimed a wicket.

After Rassie van der Dussen produced an equally aggressive 45 off 27 balls with four sixes, Miller, captaining South Africa for the first time due to Faf du Plessis being rested for the final two matches of the series, hit five sixes and four fours in an exciting performance.

On an abnormally slow and dry Wanderers ground, South Africa got off to a rather calm start. Imad Wasim, the opening bowler, grabbed one wicket for nine in four overs as a left-arm spinner. Janneman Malan, the new opening batsman, had an otherwise encouraging performance of 33 off 31 balls when he was bowled a maiden by him.
