ISLAMABAD: A progress was made on the stream gas pipeline project between Pakistan and Russia as the dates for the signing of relevant agreements and documents have been finalised, citing sources, ARY News reported on Sunday.
سفارتی ذرائع نے اے آر وائی نیوز کو بتایا کہ روس نے پاکستان میں سٹریم گیس پائپ لائن کی تعمیر سے متعلق اہم معاملات پر روشنی ڈالی۔ سٹریم گیس پائپ لائن منصوبے کے لیے متعلقہ دستاویزات اور معاہدوں پر دستخط کی تاریخوں کو حتمی شکل دے دی گئی ہے۔ منصوبے کا تعمیراتی کام 2022 میں شروع کیا جائے گا۔
معلوم ہوا ہے کہ پاکستان اور روس نے شیئر ہولڈرز کے معاہدے پر پیش رفت کے لیے مذاکراتی مسودے پر اتفاق کیا ہے۔ پائپ لائن کی تعمیر کے لیے باضابطہ طور پر کمپنی کے قیام کے معاہدے پر 31 جنوری 2022 کو دستخط کیے جائیں گے۔ قانونی دستاویزات پر دستخط سے خصوصی مقصد کی کمپنی کے قیام کی راہ ہموار ہوگی۔ ذرائع نے بتایا کہ اسلام آباد اور ماسکو سٹریم گیس پائپ لائن منصوبے کے شیئر ہولڈرز کے معاہدے پر 15 فروری کو دستخط کریں گے۔
Officials pointed out that there could not be any benefit to building an LNG pipeline because there isn’t any LNG accessible for Pakistan right now. They also mentioned that the second LNG terminal is now running at a lower capacity because there isn’t any LNG available on the global market.
Despite the state-owned company Pakistan LNG Limited’s (PLL) best efforts, no one had shown interest in signing an LNG agreement.
The lack of easy access to LNG has made winter difficult for consumers. Customers will now receive LPG cylinders thanks to a program launched by state minister for petroleum Musadik Malik. The rapid emergence of the LPG illicit market, however, did not benefit users.
