LAHORE: Amid the ongoing spell of the heatwave, the Punjab government has changed the government and private school timings Friday.
اعلامیے کے مطابق ، اسکولوں کے نئے اوقات صبح 7 بجے سے صبح 11:30 بجے تک پورے صوبے میں ہوں گے ۔پنجاب کے وزیر تعلیم مراد راس نے اپنے ٹویٹ میں ، تمام سرکاری اور نجی اسکولوں کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ اسکول کے نئے وقت کے شیڈول کی تعمیل کریں۔ راس نے اسکول کے عملے ، طلباء سے اپیل کی کہ وہ وفاقی حکومت کے جاری کردہ ایس او پیز کی سختی سے پیروی کریں۔
یہاں یہ واضح رہے کہ ضلعی تعلیمی حکام نے اس سے قبل پیر سے اسکولوں کے ترمیم شدہ اوقات کا اعلان کیا تھا۔ تعلیم کے حکام نے تمام اسکولوں میں 50 فیصد حاضری کی اجازت بھی دی تھی ، اس کے علاوہ اسکول انتظامیہ کو کسی طالب علم کو دو دن تک مسلسل طلب نہ کرنے پر بھی پابندی تھی۔
The Punjab Province Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has declared a heatwave for the period of May 21–27, when temperatures are expected to be six degrees above average.
The PDMA has advised the public to exercise caution and take the necessary safety precautions during the anticipated heatwave and temperature changes, in addition to alerting the public and notifying the health, irrigation, construction, and communications departments.
A supplementary statement also stated that the province’s public and private schools would be closed for summer vacation from June 1 to August 14; the new school year would start on August 15.
