Tehreek-e-Insaf called the alleged rigging in the 2024 election the “mother of all rigging.” They demanded a judicial investigation into the alleged change in the election results. They said the Chief Justice and the Election Commissioner should personally handle the investigation. “Our numbers are full. We will form the government in the center and provinces,” they added. Those asking how the government will be formed should not worry. “Our goal is to free the leadership and workers from jails,” said PTI Founder Bushra Bibi.
On Sunday, Barrister Gohar and Umar Ayub Khan held a press conference. They said PTI had won 180 seats nationwide. However, their majority was reduced. The former commissioner of Rawalpindi spoke out based on his conscience.
Barrister Gohar Ali explained that PTI had won 180 National Assembly seats: 42 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 115 in Punjab, 16 in Sindh, and four in Balochistan. “We haven’t received a single seat yet, but we need about 50 more seats in Punjab,” he said. PTI wants a judicial commission formed based on the former commissioner’s statement. They want a transparent investigation.
Umar Ayub demanded the release of election results according to Form 45. He emphasized, “Our numbers are complete, and PTI will form the government in the center and provinces.”
Umar Ayub Khan also mentioned that the former Rawalpindi commissioner reported 50 to 60 thousand “stapes” installed. The winning candidates were defeated, including the Chief Justice. The former commissioner advised not to include these names in the investigation.
