PM IMRAN REVIEWS FBR revenue increased 35% in November

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to congratulate the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on achieving 35 per cent growth in revenue collection in November 2021.

The amount of money collected for the month, he claimed, has increased by “37% in five months over last year”.

According to a study released by the FBR on Tuesday, there was a noteworthy surge of 36.5% in revenue collection from July to November of the fiscal year 2021-2022.
According to an FBR tweet, “It has collected net revenues of Rs2,314 billion during the first five months of the current FY against [the] set target of Rs2,016 billion, exceeding by Rs298 billion.”

The FBR surpassed the five-month tax collection target by Rs298 billion and earned over Rs2.3 trillion, largely because of elevated collection at the import stage, which accounted for over half of total tax collections.

Prime Minister Imran Khan emphasized on Wednesday the need of adhering to project completion timelines with regard to the the economic corridor between China and (CPEC). He said that the government was totally committed to the conditions of the agreements while presiding over a high-level meeting that was gathered here to track the progress on CPEC projects.

The prime minister stated that China has long been Pakistan’s dependable ally and that the government prioritizes the implementation and operationalization of CPEC projects.

He underlined that long-term projects needed stable policy in order to achieve the most benefits for the country.
