Imran Khan to Inaugurate Pakistan’s First Digital City in Haripur

The Pakistan Digital City project will be completed at a cost of Rs1.31 billion and scattered over 86 kanals of land.Pakistan Digital City Haripur is a flagship project of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government being launched to provide all facilities to the IT industry in one place.

The project will serve as a state-of-the-art hub to promote innovation and collaboration between scholars, researchers, business, and planners from both domestic and international sources.

The province’s computer, software, mobile phone, electronics, and technological incubator businesses are among the other associated sectors that stand to gain from it.

The KP government had earlier in August 2021 approved the Rs. 1.3 billion projected cost of construction of the “Digital City” project in Haripur.

In an effort to increase employment and Pakistan’s IT exports, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched Lahore Technopolis, a special technological zone, last month.
