KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday arrived at Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Bahadurabad office – a day after the joint opposition submitted a no-trust motion against him with the National Assembly Secretariat.

Amir Khan, the leader of the MQM-P, informed the media shortly after a quick meeting with Prime Minister Imran that he had not discussed the no-confidence motion with the prime minister.
Khan stated that his party was a government ally “but our options are open” in response to a query about whether the MQM-P was in favor of the no-trust motion.
The leader of the MQM-P declined to comment when questioned about specifics of the meeting with PM Imran, stating, “We cannot tell you about what we discussed in detail.”
In the meantime, in response to a question on the motion of no confidence, MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that his party did not have faith in the “entire system”.
He claimed that throughout the meeting, the prime minister was not questioned by the MQM-P for assurances on Karachi’s administrative issues.
Siddiqui responded, “We are supporting him, which is why he is still the prime minister to this day,” when asked if the MQM-P will assist the premier in the opposition’s planned parliamentary maneuver against him.
