KARACHI: The row between the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) and the Sindh health department has intensified after the commission has advised Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), Karachi, not to intervene in private medical and dental college admissions.
پاکستان میڈیکل کمیشن نے جناح سندھ میڈیکل یونیورسٹی کو پرائیویٹ کالجز میں داخلہ لینے سے روک دیا۔ اس حوالے سے پی ایم سی نے ایک خط لکھا ہے جس میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ یونیورسٹی کی جانب سے پرائیویٹ میڈیکل کالجز میں داخلوں کا اشتہار نہ صرف آئین پاکستان کی خلاف ورزی ہے بلکہ سپریم کورٹ اور سندھ ہائی کورٹ کے حتمی طور پر وضع کردہ قانون کی بھی خلاف ورزی ہے۔ .
جے ایس ایم یو کے پبلک نوٹس نے بدقسمتی سے طلباء میں شدید اور غیر ضروری الجھن پیدا کر دی ہے اور اس لیے اسے فوری طور پر واپس لینے کی ضرورت ہے کیونکہ نہ ہی جے ایس ایم یو اور نہ ہی داخلہ کمیٹی اور نہ ہی محکمہ صحت سندھ کو قانونی طور پر نجی میڈیکل اور ڈینٹل کالجوں میں داخلے لینے کا پابند بنایا گیا ہے۔ ، خط کہتا ہے۔
According to reports, eight private dental schools in Sindh attempted to evade the government’s decision to challenge the admissions process by accepting MDCAT failure pupils instead of qualified applicants who were easily available. Statistics on national admissions support this assertion. Out of 540 available seats, only 22 MDCAT-qualified applicants were admitted by eight dental colleges: Isra Dental College, Muhammad Dental College, Baqai Dental College, Fatima Jinnah Dental College, Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences, Bhittai Dental & Medical College, Baqai Dental College, and Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine.
A few private medical colleges also made an effort to accept some MDCAT failures in an effort to get an advantage over the Sindh Government’s wrong decision.
