THARPARKAR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah Sunday said that Thar has a great potential to grow organic vegetables, fruits and organic milk of cow, camel and goat which has a vast and rich international market. He said this while chairing multiple meetings with elected representatives and officials during his visit to the Tharparkar district.
مراد علی شاہ نے مشیر زراعت منظور وسان کی سربراہی میں ٹنڈو جام زرعی یونیورسٹی کے ماہرین اور مقامی ماہرین زراعت پر مشتمل ایک کمیٹی تشکیل دی جو تھر میں زرعی شعبے کو فروغ دینے کے طریقوں اور ذرائع کا مطالعہ کرے گی اور نامیاتی پھلوں، سبزیوں اور دودھ کی صنعت کو فروغ دینے کے لیے اپنی سفارشات پیش کرے گی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ ہر موسم سرما میں تھر میں تین میلوں، کھیلوں، ثقافتی اور موسیقی کی تقریبات کا انعقاد کیا جائے گا تاکہ تھر کی سیاحت پر مبنی معیشت کو فروغ دیا جا سکے۔ سینئر ممبر بورڈ آف ریونیو تھر میں زمینوں کے سروے کے لیے منصوبہ تیار کریں گے۔
The senior member of the Board of Revenue was instructed by the chief minister to draft a plan for the survey of the lands in Thar. Upon observing the tree-cutting, Shah instructed deputy commissioner Mithi to cease and asked him to plant additional trees, especially fruit trees, in order to boost the number of birds living in the desert. The chief minister also gave the order to design a plan to provide the people of Thar with 500 submersible pumps.
