Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment has confirmed that international retailer company and world’s top ecommerce website Amazon will be adding Pakistan in its Sellers’ List within a few days. In a tweet uploaded on Thursday, Razak Dawood said, “We have been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening. It is a great opportunity for our youth, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and women entrepreneurs.”

After the federal cabinet approved the e-commerce policy at the end of 2019, all work on global connection began. To successfully carry out the policy, a group of representatives from the public and business sectors was established: the National e-Commerce Council (NeCC).
Prime Minister Imran Khan hailed the development in the interim. He tweeted: “Amazing news as Amazon has finally given our vendors permission to export their products through their system. With Amazon beginning operations in Pakistan, our youth will have more options as a new generation of young men and women entrepreneurs will be able to enter the export industry.
