Authorities have recovered a weapon and ammunition from the deceased suspect, and the licensed pistol used by the local resident has been seized for forensic analysis. Investigations are underway to identify the suspect and further details of the incident are being examined.

The incident took place near a mosque in the Gulshan-e-Bihar locality. Hussain’s maternal uncle stated that robbers attempted to steal Hussain’s mobile phone, and when Hussain tried to chase down one of the robbers, he was dragged and shot nine times. Despite being rushed to a private hospital near KDA Chowrangi, Hussain succumbed to his injuries before reaching the medical facility.
Community Shocked as Karachi Sees Rising Robbery Death Toll
The victim, who was the third among his four siblings, was also a Hafiz-e-Quran and had been pursuing religious studies to become an aalim (religious scholar). His family has expressed their grief and called on the government for justice. Hussain’s uncle and brother both demanded accountability for the tragic loss, which has left the local community in shock and mourning.
Robbery Death Toll Continues to Climb in Karachi
In a separate incident, a 50-year-old man named Irfan was also shot and later died from his injuries after resisting a robbery attempt in the Korangi area. Robbers shot him during a mugging near Noor-ul-Islam Masjid. Irfan was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre but passed away the following day. Zaman Town SHO confirmed that the charges against the suspects would be upgraded to murder after Irfan’s death. The police continue their search for the suspects using technical methods.
