ISLAMABAD: The fifth wave of the COVID-19 is intensifying with every passing as Pakistan reported 1,649 fresh cases of infection during the past 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, an additional three coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in Pakistan, bringing the total number of verified cases to 1,305,707. The total number of deaths nationwide rose to 28,972 on Monday.
According to the most recent data provided by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,649 individuals tested positive for COVID-19 the day before.
Thus far, the outbreak has claimed the lives of 13,080 people in Punjab, 7,681 in Sindh, 5,943 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 748 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 186 in Gujarat.
Additionally, coronavirus infections have been verified in Sindh (487,668), Punjab (448,091), Azad Kashmir (34,704), Islamabad (109,396), and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (181,757). 33,659 in Balochistan and 10,432 in Gilgit-Baltistan
Pakistan has conducted 23,847,572 coronavirus tests so far, including 45,002 tests in the last 24 hours. 617 individuals nationwide are in critical condition, while 1,258,987 patients have made a full recovery.
The COVID-19 positive ratio was discovered to be 3.66 percent.
A total of 99,454,273 people have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccination, with 310,114 receiving it in the last 24 hours. Out of the whole population, 73,862,234 have received all immunizations, and 377,912 have received their second dose in the last 24 hours.
The number of doses administered has reached 162,115,885, with 706,192 doses given the day before.
