ADB Supports Pakistan with 15 Million COVID-19 Vaccine Doses

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has received 15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), ARY News reported.

تفصیلات کے مطابق اے ڈی بی کی جانب سے روانہ کی گئی کورونا ویکسین کی 15 ملین خوراکیں اسلام آباد کو موصول ہوگئی ہیں۔ یہ خوراکیں اسلام آباد کو وبائی امراض کے خلاف جنگ میں مدد کے لیے بھیجی گئی ہیں۔

Among the 148,265,690 people in Pakistan who have gotten at least one dose of the COVID vaccine so far, it should be noted that 65,149,948 people have received two doses.

Two more persons have died in Pakistan as a result of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 28,909.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 301 more people have been infected with the coronavirus.

A total of 44,129 samples were evaluated in the last 24 hours; 301 of those samples had positive results, meaning that the infection rate was 0.68%.

The ADB Pakistan chapter announced on its official Twitter account that the $500 million support from the bank has allowed the nation to procure almost 75 million vaccine doses, safety boxes, and syringes to vaccinate over 35 million people.

These kinds of initiatives are essential for maintaining vaccine accessibility, advancing public health, and ultimately supporting global efforts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
