Pakistan team’s vice-captain Shadab Khan has been ruled out from the first Zimbabwe One Day International to be played at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Friday.
The News said on Wednesday that all-round player Shadan Khan is still not fully ready to play in the first ODI against Zimbabwe on October 30 and that a decision regarding his involvement would be made at any point today.
According to a team official who spoke to the publication, Shadab’s mobility was limited by soreness and discomfort in his upper thigh.
“This is muscular issues at the upper part of the thigh, not a hamstring strain. Due to soreness and discomfort, he was unable to attend Tuesday’s practice, according to the official.
He indicated that a decision would be made by Thursday when asked if he would be able to play in the first One-Dayer against Zimbabwe.
The official stated, “At this time, we are not sure about that; doctors are working on his fitness.”
On Tuesday, all 107 cricket players and player support personnel from Zimbabwe and Pakistan received negative COVID-19 test results.
