UN Security Council Discusses Pahalgam Fallout

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is scheduled to convene on Monday (today) to discuss the rising tensions between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam incident.

According to the President of the UN Security Council, the growing conflict in South Asia poses a serious concern.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office warned that India’s aggressive actions threaten peace and security in South Asia and beyond.

Pakistan will formally brief the UN Security Council on recent regional developments. The briefing will focus on India’s provocative military posture, inflammatory remarks, and especially its suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, which Pakistan considers illegal.

The Foreign Office said this engagement is part of broader efforts to inform the international community with evidence-based arguments and challenge India’s narrative.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting arranged a visit to the Line of Control (LoC) for both Pakistani and international media.

This visit aimed to counter India’s false propaganda about imaginary “terrorist camps” inside Pakistan, according to a statement released on Saturday.

India has repeatedly accused Pakistan of hosting terrorist hideouts along the LOC. These claims lack evidence and credibility.

During the visit, media representatives will see the exact sites India labeled as terrorist camps. Authorities will present on-ground realities to disprove the allegations.
