1. Lahore High Court

The LHC has heard a challenge against the federal government’s notification permitting the  (ISI) to tap and monitor people’s phones. . Fahad Shabbir, a citizen, filed a petition in the LHC federal government, (PTA) as respondent, challenging the notification.  The petition requests notification that the government may tap citizens’ phones by section 54 of the PTA Act of 1996.  The petitioner contends that the Constitution allows privacy and freedom of citizens, calling tapping a clear violation of the Constitution. The petitioner requested the court to stop ISI or other government agencies from recording calls and communications.

2. ISI ordered TO TAP PHONES

. The court concerning petitions challenging audio leaks involving Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The issue of phone tapping, according to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, is moving through the legal process. Considering national security and the fight against terrorism, he said, needed. The PTI will go to the Supreme Court to challenge this notification.

 3. OPPOSITION CRIES

The PTI Chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali, claims that the constitution makes phone tapping explicit. He said that privacy would not save anyone in the future. Declaring through his legal representative, Dr. Babar Awan, that “this SRO is unconstitutional and against the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution,” Ayub announced his intention to challenge the notification in court. The PTI leader declared that he would use his attorney, Dr. Babar Awan, to contest the notification in court. The PBC, which criticized the action and called such “sweeping powers” worrisome and unwarranted, did not take well to the measure. The bar council stated that the notification’s issuing directly infringes upon fundamental rights and threatens the rule of law and the judiciary’s independence. The PTI chairman denied that the government of Imran Khan had ordered authorities to tap phones.
