Rashid Khan’s consecutive boundaries in the final over helped Lahore to defeat Islamabad by five wickets in a nail-biting contest in the opening match of the second leg of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) sixth edition.
Lahore skipper Sohail Akhtar has been leading from the front, as he scored 40 runs (the highest individual score in the innings so far), before being dismissed by Fawad Ahmed.Batsman Mohammad Hafeez scored 29, Fakhar Zaman and Muhammad Faizan hit 9 runs each.Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, and Fawad Ahmed have taken a wicket each so far.
The Pakistan Super League’s sixth edition saw Lahore Qalandars defeat Islamabad United by five wickets in the opening game of the remaining fixtures Thursday night in Abu Dhabi.
In the allotted twenty overs, Islamabad United produced 144 runs while batting first, losing nine wickets in the process.
Lahore Qalandars, in response, reached the goal in twenty overs with five wickets lost.
Today (Thursday), there will be two games in Abu Dhabi.
Karachi Kings and Multan Sultan will play their first game at 6:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
At 11 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time, Lahore Qalandars will take on Peshawar Zalmi in the second match.
