PSL 10 Update:
Rain Disrupts Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars Encounter
PSL 10 Match: The exciting clash between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars was called off due to heavy rain and a dust storm in Lahore,
leaving both teams with shared points and affecting the tournament standings.
Weather Halts Crucial Fixture in Lahore
Thursday’s highly anticipated face-off at Gaddafi Stadium was cut short as severe weather conditions hit the city.
The dust storm followed by continuous rainfall meant no further play was possible, resulting in a no-result.
Both Lahore and Quetta, positioned second and third on the table, missed an opportunity to climb above Islamabad United, each earning one point.
First Innings Recap Before Rain Stoppage
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars reached 111/3 in 11.3 overs before weather conditions forced the match to be abandoned.
Fakhar Zaman fell cheaply, but Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Naeem built a strong 102-run partnership.
Naeem scored a brisk 50 off 30 balls, while Shafique remained unbeaten on 53 from 32 deliveries.
Abrar Ahmed picked up two wickets and Khurram Shahzad took one before play was stopped.
Upcoming Fixtures for Qalandars and Gladiators
Lahore will now prepare to face Karachi Kings on Sunday, while Quetta gets ready for a tough match against Islamabad United on Saturday.
With points at stake, both sides aim to push for playoff positions.
Although this rain-hit encounter didn’t produce a result, the upcoming games are expected to reignite the excitement in the PSL season.
