PM Shehbas and others Visit Victims of Terror Attack in Quetta
PM Shehbaz, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Quetta. They met with injured children and other victims of the recent terrorist attack, which targeted a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan.
Call for National Resolve Against Terrorism
During the visit, the prime minister and the field marshal emphasized the need for the nation to show strong resolve, similar to its response to Indian aggression. They stressed that Pakistan must decisively end foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Condemnation of the Attack
Both leaders expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives, especially children. They condemned the attack as a cowardly act by Indian-sponsored proxies. “This is a shameful and despicable act targeting innocent schoolchildren,” they said.
Details of the Khuzdar Tragedy
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Commander Quetta Corps briefed the delegation on the attack. Three children and two soldiers lost their lives, and 53 others were injured, including 39 schoolchildren. Eight of them remain in critical condition.
India’s Role and International Appeal
The government said that India, failing in its military tactics, has turned to terrorism through proxy groups. These groups, pretending to represent ethnic communities, are undermining the honor of the Baloch and Pashtun people, who reject extremism.
“India’s deliberate targeting of children must be condemned globally,” the statement added. It urged the international community to take action against the use of terrorism as a foreign policy tool.
Justice for the Victims
Pakistan’s security forces have vowed to track down and punish all involved in this brutal attack. “The architects, abettors, and enablers of this crime will face justice,” officials said. The statement also emphasized that India’s role as the true perpetrator of terrorism stands exposed before the world.
