The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday confirmed that there will be no changes in the national selection committee, describing it as ‘intact’.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) says national selection committee remains complete, attesting no changes to its members on Wednesday. The board only replaced the data critic, who does n’t have voting rights during platoon selection. Usman Hashmi now serves as the data critic, taking over from Hassan Cheema to help the selection commission.
The selection commission consists of Aqib Javed, Aleem Dar, Asad Shafiq, and Azhar Ali. The commission works without a designated head, with all four members participating equal decision- making power. The PCB says the commission consults with the head trainer and captain of the separate formats before finishing the platoon.
This advertisement comes in response to recent media reports suggesting a major overhaul of the selection commission. Reports claimed former Test cricketers Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq might be replaced by former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and justice critic Sikandar Bakht. The PCB has forcefully denied these claims.
