1. Squad

The opening contest is slated for August 21-25 in Pindi, followed by the second match from August 30 until September 3 On Wednesday, Pakistan announced its men’s national squad, which consists of 17 members. Training sessions for the Pakistani team will commence in Pindi on August 11, under the guidance of head coach Jason and coach Azhar Mahmood.

2. Bangladesh team

The Bangladesh team is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on August 17, with training starting on the same day. The Pakistani Test squad will be led by Shan Masood, a left-handed middle-order batsman. Saud Shakeel has been appointed as the vice-captain of the cricket team.

3. Pakistan team

Shaheen Shah Afridi is part of the selection strategy team and will oversee the workload of the lead fast bowlers during Tests, ODIs, and T20 matches. He is expected to lead the fast bowlers in nine Tests, 14 T20s, and at least 17 ODIs. For the first series, 17 players  selected for the 2024-25 season. Pakistan’s last series in the 2023-24 season was against Australia in December and January. Fast bowler Naseem Shah is making a return to the red-ball format after 13 months. Mohammad Gulam, Ali, and Huraira  included in the squad. The PCB has finalized the players for the international team.

4. Pakistan squad

The squad includes Abrar, Babar, Kamran, Khurram, Hamza, Ali, Huraira, Rizwan (wicket-keeper), Naseem, Saim, Ali Agha, Sarfaraz (wicket-keeper), and Shaheen, along with Shan Masood, Saud, and Aamir.

5. Bangladesh team

Currently, the A team  expected to arrive in Pakistan on August 8, with the Test squad following on August 17. The A team’s first four-day match vscheduled to begin on August 11. Despite the challenges posed by the current political situation, a PCB source emphasized the board’s commitment to maintaining open communication with the BCB. “The BCB board is not functioning normally because Najmul, the head of the BCB, is also leaving Bangladesh,” the source stated.
