Pakistan reported 10 more coronavirus deaths and 457 new cases that emerged during the last 24 hours (Sunday), showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 10 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 28,466, which represents a ratio of 2.2 percent.The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan reaches 1.16 percent, as 457 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 39,296 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,274,017The number of active cases in the country is 22,564 with 1,234 patients in critical condition.There were 428 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,222,987 with a 96% recovery rate.

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 119 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 440,378 with 7,657 active cases. In Punjab, 6 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 12,924. With 195 new recoveries, 419,797 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.Sindh has recorded 248 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 470,421 with 12,821 active cases. With 1 new death related to the deadly disease, the death toll in Sindh reached 7,569. With 88 new recoveries, 450,031 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 61 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 178,135 with 1,582 active cases. The province reported 3 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 5,751. With 82 new recoveries, 170,802 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.Balochistan has recorded another 4 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 33,267 with 116 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remains at 356. With 2 new recoveries, 32,795 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.Islamabad has recorded 24 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 106,945 with 277 active cases. With no new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll remained at 940. With 51 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 105,728 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 3 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 34,481 with 59 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remains at 740. There were 9 new recoveries in the AJK as 33,682 patients have recovered so far from the virus.Gilgit-Baltistan recorded no new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 10,390 with 52 active cases. With no new death reported in the province the death toll remains at 186. There was one new recovery as the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 10,152.
