Pakistan Reports 28 New COVID-19 Deaths, 1,916 Cases

Pakistan has registered another 28 deaths and 1,016 infections from the Covid -19  pandemic during the last 24 hours (Wednesday), showed the figures released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Thursday morning.

As per the NCOC statistics, after the addition of 28 new deaths, the overall toll has now surged to 28,201 whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,261,685 after adding the fresh 1,016 cases.

During the last 24 hours (Wednesday), a total of 47,934 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 2.11 percent. The number of patients in critical care was 2,195.

Pakistan’s ministry of health announced on Monday that there had been 28 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

With the addition of the new cases, the total number of infected individuals nationwide increased to 1,575,125, as per the ministry’s figures.

The ministry’s records show that 30,630 persons in Pakistan lost their lives to COVID-19, and that there have been no new deaths in the past 24 hours.

5,783 tests were performed on Sunday across Pakistan, with a 0.48 percent positivity rate.

In the nation, there are twenty-eight patients in critical condition.
