Indian Troops on the Civilian Killed : Surprise ISPR Statement

Pakistan

Indian army troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Khanjar and Rakhchakri sectors of Kashmir along the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday, targeting the civilian population.

The military’s propaganda wing said on Thursday that two civilians, including an adolescent, were slain in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as a result of Indian border forces using “unprovoked” shooting across the Line of Control.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) claimed in a statement that two persons, including a woman, were hurt in the firing in the Jura sector along the LoC.

The deceased were identified as Naveed, 29, and Shaharyar, 14, both of whom lived in Lesva village.

The ISPR stated, “Pakistan Army troops effectively responded to target [the] Indian post firing on civilian population,” and added that three soldiers from the Pakistan Army were also hurt in the ensuing gunfight between the posts.

The whole community as a whole and the UN in particular ought to take note of the provocative and evil remarks made by the ruthless belligerents in New Delhi. He cautioned in a tweet, “They are out to crank up butchery in occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the cover of escalations along the ceasefire line (LoC).

In flagrant violation of the 2003 peace agreement between the two armies, the heavily militarized LoC has been witnessing ceasefire violations on a regular basis, resulting in mostly civilian casualties in various parts of AJK along the tense dividing line.

A top government official in AJK, Syed Shahid Mohyiddin Qadri, claims that following the most recent deaths, the number of people injured in Indian troops’ ceasefire violations this year has increased to 59.
