In a Major Political Development, Imran Khan Agrees to Dialogue

In a Major Political Move by Imran Khan

Major political shift, incarcerated PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has authorized party leadership to initiate dialogue with the government. This comes after a proposal by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aiming to open channels for political reconciliation.

Imran Khan Gives Go-Ahead from Jail

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan met Khan at Adiala Jail, where the former premier agreed to pursue talks. However, he stressed that discussions should be conducted away from media scrutiny to ensure productivity and sincerity.

PTI to Formally Approach Government

Following Khan’s nod, PTI will now formally reach out to the government. The party believes earlier efforts at negotiation failed due to public exposure and is now advocating a private, result-oriented approach.

Barrister Gohar Confirms but Keeps Details Private

When contacted by The News, Gohar confirmed he relayed the prime minister’s offer but declined to reveal further details. “I can’t divulge what was discussed between us,” he stated.

Dialogue Backed by the Military?

PTI insiders suggest that Khan prefers the talks to have the endorsement of the military establishment. He is reportedly open to meeting with a representative from the establishment to ensure the process moves forward meaningfully.

Backdrop of Rising Regional Tensions

The development arrives amid growing demands for political stability in Pakistan and follows a recent Indian misadventure, making national unity a critical need of the hour.
