Budget Breakdown and Revenue Targets
The government has set the FY2025‑26 Budget at Rs17.6 trillion—slightly lower than last year’s Rs18.78 trillion. The plan aims for Rs14.02 trillion in tax revenue and Rs4–4.5 trillion in non-tax income.
Salary & Pension Revisions in FY2025‑26 Budget
Employees in grades 1–16 will see a 7.5% to 10% salary and pension increase, with an additional 30% Disparity Allowance. Earlier recommendations ranged from 5% to 12.5%.
Defence and Development Allocations
Due to regional security pressures, defence spending has risen to Rs2.55 trillion. On the other hand, the Public Sector Development Programme maintains its allocation at Rs1 trillion.
Revenue Gap and Provincial Shares
Provinces will receive close to Rs8 trillion through the NFC Award. Federal tax receipts are expected at Rs6 trillion, and non-tax sources will contribute up to Rs4.5 trillion. A Rs6–7 trillion financing gap will be managed under IMF guidelines.
