.”Property Leaks” reveals that foreigners and Pakistanis own properties in Dubai worth over $400 billion and 11 billion dollars respectively. Pakistanis are the second-largest foreign buyers in Dubai, with properties valued at over 11 billion dollars. An investigative journalism effort has discovered that renowned individuals from around the world own expensive mansions in Dubai. 

Approximately 3,550 Pakistanis own real estate in Dubai, according to recent sources.

Property leaks reveal Pakistanis including President Asif Ali Zardari’s children, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s family, Senators Faisal Vawda, Farah Gogi, Sher Afzal Marwat, four MNAs, and six MPAs from Sindh and Balochistan parliaments.

Bilawal spokesperson Zulfikar Ali Bader confirmed that Aseefa and the former foreign minister have disclosed all of their assets to the Federal Board of Revenue and the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Indians are the wealthiest group in Dubai, owning 35,000 properties valued at $17 billion, out of 29,700 individuals listed. The list excludes residential and commercial assets purchased under corporate identities. A major project Dubai Unlocked aims to uncover details of property ownership in Dubai.

“Dubai Unlocked” is a campaign that seeks to uncover undeclared assets and potential corruption among influential individuals. 

The Center for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS) gathered the data. C4ADS, established in 2002, utilizes satellite imagery for data collection and analysis across borders.C4ADS employs a multidisciplinary approach, combining think tanks and investigative journalism, to identify data trails from illicit activities. The organization is utilizing data sciences to combat threats such as money laundering, war profiteering, and wildlife trafficking.

Journalists from 74 media outlets in 58 countries conducted investigative work over six months. The collaboration between the two entities led to the discovery of several individuals with property in Dubai.
