DG ISPR rejects India’s baseless accusations following the deadly Pahalgam attack.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry presented solid evidence of India’s cross-border terrorism in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan.

DG ISPR Rejects India’s Claims and Highlights Pakistan’s Position

India accused Pakistan of being behind the Pahalgam incident, which left 26 people dead, mostly tourists.
Despite the initial claim by The Resistance Front (TRF), no concrete proof has been provided against Pakistan.
DG ISPR reiterated that such allegations are part of India’s broader strategy to deflect global attention from internal failures.

In retaliation, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, shut down the Attari-Wagah border, and canceled SAARC visa exemptions.
It also reduced its diplomatic presence in Islamabad and asked Pakistani officials to leave New Delhi.

Evidence Presented by DG ISPR Against Indian Activities

On April 25, Pakistani authorities apprehended a man named Abdul Majeed near the Jhelum bus stand.
He had reportedly received training in India. A drone, IED, and Rs. 25,000 were recovered from him.
This incident, according to DG ISPR, confirms India’s direct involvement in fostering unrest within Pakistan.

DG ISPR emphasized that India supports terrorist networks operating inside Pakistan, using them to destabilize regions like Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Pakistan Responds to Indian Provocations

Pakistan firmly rejected India’s move to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty.
A National Security Committee meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, declared any attempt to stop or divert Pakistan’s share of water an act of war.

Pakistan responded by closing its airspace to Indian flights and expelling Indian defense staff.
The government emphasized that the treaty, brokered by the World Bank, is a binding international agreement that cannot be unilaterally suspended.
