Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed three terrorists in Pakpattan and arrested four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists in 22 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) operations across Punjab.
The CTD conducted an IBO in Pakpattan and killed three terrorists. One of the dead was named as Manzoor Ahmed while two others were yet to be identified.The CTD team also recovered two hand grenades, a Kalashnikov, 1,100gm explosives material and other arms from the terrorists’ possession.Counter-terrorism department teams also conducted operations and arrested terrorists Ghafar from Sahiwal and Abdul Raheem Maki from Chiniot and Rahim Akbar from Rawalpindi, Hassan Raza from Tehreek-e-Jaffaria Pakistan from Multan.
The CTD officials said that Rahim Akbar and Hassan Raza were trying to spread sectarian divisions. The CTD teams also recovered hateful sectarian literature from their procession.Punjab CTD lodged FIRs against all the arrested terrorists and launched further investigation into the matter.
According to the spokesperson, other terrorists attacked the CTD team during the raid, which took place in Mozay Kalay Pathan.
Terrorist Umar Daraz and his two colleagues were murdered in the ensuing gunfight, but five others managed to flee the area.
The CTD official continued, “An operation was promptly launched to arrest the fleeing terrorists.”
