COVID-19: 758 NEW CASE, 6 DEATH IN PAKISTAN

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported as many as 758 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths in the previous 24 hours, according to the government’s database.The number of critical patients of Covid-19 in various hospitals across the country has come down to 722.

The national tally of confirmed cases has climbed to 1,516,150 while the death toll is 30,287.The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said a total of 36,569 samples were tested during the last 24 hours, out of which 758 turned out to be positive, showing the positivity rate of 2.07 per cent.

Punjab remains the worst affected province in terms of mortality, with Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following closely behind.

Thus far, the outbreak has claimed the lives of 14,535 people in Punjab, 7,085 in Sindh, 5,291 in KP, 1,019 in Islamabad, 589 in Azad Kashmir, 877 in Balochistan, and 191 in GB.

In Pakistan, tests for the coronavirus have been conducted 26,749,522 times thus far, including 36,569 times in the last 24 hours. In the nation, there are 722 critical care patients and 1,467,868 recovered people.
