Corona cases have dropped by 75% in the country in two months

In the last two months, the number of active cases of corona virus in the country has dropped by 75% and the number of hospital admissions has quadrupled.However, in the last 24 hours, 698 more people were affected by the epidemic while 9 patients died. The rate of positive cases in the country was 1.65%.According to the Dawn newspaper, the data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) shows that on October 25, the number of active cases of Corona in Pakistan dropped to 23,940.Just two months ago, the number of active cases in the country was about 90,000.According to statistics, 1,591 patients are being treated in various hospitals across the country. The number of patients undergoing treatment in August was 6,000.

There are currently 218 ventilators in use across the country. Similarly, the condition of oxygen beds has also improved.So far, 1,269,234 cases of corona virus have been reported in Pakistan, of which 1,216,908 patients have recovered and 28,386 have died.So far, more than 20 million tests of Code 19 have been conducted in the country.On the other hand, Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, said that Pakistan is very close to eradicating the polio virus.”We have been working since 1994 to eradicate the crippling disease, but now we must not miss the golden opportunity to make the country polio-free,” he said.He said that despite the difficulties caused by Corona, the virus was brought under control in Pakistan and this was due to several successful polio campaigns across the country.

It is worth mentioning here that a case of polio has been reported in the country so far this year, which came from Balochistan.In 2020, 84 cases of polio were diagnosed in Pakistan and in 2019, the number was 147.Polio is a highly contagious disease caused by the polio virus and mainly affects children under 5 years of age.Because there is no cure for polio, vaccination alone can effectively protect children from crippling disease.There are now only two countries in the world where polio cases come from and they are Pakistan and Afghanistan.
