Cardi B to host 2021 American Music Awards

US pop artist Cardi B is preparing to conquer the stage after announcing that she will host the upcoming American Music Awards 2021.The artist expressed her delight in a statement to People.

“When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited,” The please me singer said in a statement. “I’m ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage!”Furthermore, the AMA’s executive producer expressed delight at Cardi B’s “infectious energy” being brought to the stage.

“We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host,” echoed executive producer Jesse Collins.“She will excite the viewers, push the limits and deliver a show that will be remembered forever!”

With seven nominations, including new artist of the year and artist of the year, Olivia Rodrigo leads the field in her first year of eligibility. The Weeknd, a five-time winner, is up against Rodrigo in the artist of the year category, which also includes Drake, Taylor Swift, BTS, and Ariana Grande. The winners of the American Music Awards are chosen solely by the audience. The poll is now closed. Between September 25, 2020, and September 23, 2021, fan engagements such as streaming, album sales, song sales, and radio airplay determined the nominees.
