Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday tore up the show-cause notice issued to his party by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) over Senate opposition leader appointment.
Reports have circulated that party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been seen tearing apart the show-cause notice the PPP received from the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), with all eyes on the PPP’s CEC meeting in Karachi today.
Sources who contacted with Geo News claim that at the CEC meeting at Bilawal House in Karachi, Bilawal tore up the show-cause notice that PDM secretary-general Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had served to the PPP.
According to sources, after Bilawal made his move, the party officials in attendance applauded and began clapping.
In his speech to the CEC, Bilawal stated that respect was the main reason he entered politics and that there was nothing more important than it.
Tomorrow at 2:00 pm, the PPP leadership will adjourn the CEC meeting and make public the choices reached, according to sources inside Bilawal House.
Fifty PPP leaders are present at the conference, where topics of discussion include the party’s overarching anti-government agenda, the relationships among the opposition groups, and the current political climate. The conference is being presided over by Bilawal and former president Asif Ali Zardari.
According to sources, Yousuf Raza Gillani, the leader of the opposition in the Senate, submitted his resignation to the party in the meanwhile. He was cited as stating, “We have given our lives and rendered many sacrifices for the cause of democracy,” by the sources.
“PPP cannot be subjected to unfounded allegations,” sources claimed Gillani remarked in addition.
The CEC, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, and PPP President Asif Ali Zardari all unanimously rejected his idea.
