Washington (Web Desk): President-elect Joe Biden called on Americans to come together and heal Saturday in his first speech after winning US elections 20202.

President-elect Joe Biden called on Americans to come together and advance healing in his inaugural speech.
A day filled with unplanned parades and celebrations across the country came to a conclusion with his speech in Wilmington, Delaware.
“They are not our enemies,” Biden attempted to interact with the mass of Trump fans. They belong to the United States as citizens.

In his inaugural address as president-elect, Joe Biden urged Americans to unite and promote healing.

His speech on Saturday in Wilmington, Delaware, ended a nationwide day of festivities and spontaneous parades.

“We’ve won with the most votes ever cast for a presidential ticket… and we’re witnessing an outpouring of joy throughout this country, in every city throughout the country, and in fact throughout the world.”

“They are not our enemies,” Biden said to the throng of supporters of President Donald Trump in an effort to engage with them. They are citizens of the United States.

“America needs to heal right now,” he declared.

“As president, I’ll strive to unite people rather than divide them. I shall always see the United States; I will not see red states and blue states.

In a tweet on Saturday, Trump stated that he “won this election, by a lot!” and has refused to acknowledge the election’s findings.

In an attempt to provide the impression that the vote was rigged and that Biden’s victory was invalid, Trump and his team have filed lawsuits this week in six hotly fought states. Experts in law have rejected the lawsuits as baseless.

The olive branch that Biden extended to the president’s supporters was the only thing about Trump that he mentioned on Saturday.

“I understand your disappointment tonight, to those who voted for President Trump,” he remarked. “I’ve personally lost a few elections. Let’s give each other a chance now, though.
