TUmar Gul, a speedster for Pakistan, declared on Saturday that he will step down from all cricket-related activities following the conclusion of the National T20 Cup. The 36-year-old Gul represented the Balochistan team in the National T20 Cup, which concludes on Sunday. Gul last appeared for Pakistan in an ODI in 2016. His team’s elimination from consideration for the semifinals came on Friday after a loss to Southern Punjab (Pakistan) in Rawalpindi. The 36-year-old announced on his Twitter account, “After much consideration and with a very heavy heart, I have decided to bid farewell to all formats of cricket after this National T20 Cup.”
“I have always given my all and given my all in my efforts to play for Pakistan. All good things must come to an end, but cricket is and will always be my love and passion,” he continued.
After much consideration and with a heavy heart, I have made the decision to say goodbye to all forms of cricket following the National T20 Cup. I have always given my all and given my all in my efforts to play for Pakistan. My love and passion is and will always be cricket. 1/3
However, everything good has to end. I’m hoping for a lot more for the future. Secondly, I express my gratitude to @TheRealPCB and all the coaches and individuals who have contributed to my cricketing experience. Special thanks to my supporters, fans, and media 2/3
