Seven players, including Babar Azam, participated in the opening day of Pakistan’s white-ball training camp on Tuesday.

The Pakistan white-ball camp officially began on Tuesday at the LCCA Ground in Lahore. Babar Azam was among the seven players who participated in the opening session.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) invited 22 white-ball specialists for this training program. The group features experienced names such as Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi, alongside emerging talent.

On day one, Abbas Afridi, Babar Azam, Mir Hamza, Salman Mirza, Saud Shakeel, Shahid Aziz, and Usman Khan engaged in a series of skill-focused training drills. The sessions focused on refining bowling, batting, and fielding techniques.

The remaining squad members are Aamer Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Ahmed Daniyal, Ali Raza, Haider Ali, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, Khurram Shahzad, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Sufiyan Moqim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usama Mir, and Tayyab Tahir.

The players are divided into three groups. The Pakistan men’s team management, headed by Mike Hesson, oversees each group’s tailored training schedule.

The Pakistan white-ball camp is scheduled to continue through Thursday, June 5. It aims to prepare the national side for upcoming international fixtures and enhance overall performance.

Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi were not part of the squad in the recent T20I series against Bangladesh. They also missed the T20I series against New Zealand earlier this year.
