Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during Youm-i-Tashakkur ceremony in the federal capital, praised the bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces and paid tribute to the martyrs and their families.

PM Shehbaz hails forces:In his speech, PM Shehbaz hails forces and saluted the parents of the soldiers who gave their lives for the country. He acknowledged the leadership of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the heads of the three armed forces.

Speaking about the events of May 10, 2025, he said Pakistan came under serious attack. However, the nation stood united, praying for a strong and strategic response.

The Prime Minister stated that the Pakistan Air Force downed six Indian fighter jets, including Rafales, MiGs, and drones, sending a clear message of national strength and preparedness.

He highlighted that after India launched missiles into Pakistani territory, military leaders quickly decided to respond.

Under Army Chief General Asim Munir’s leadership, Pakistan launched “Fatah Series” missiles targeting Indian locations like Pathankot and Udhampur, delivering a strong and unforgettable message.

Call for Peace and Global Recognition

PM Shehbaz said Pakistan’s advanced military technology shocked the world and enhanced global trust in the country’s capabilities.

He thanked allied nations including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, China, Turkiye, Azerbaijan, the US, and the UK for their support. He also appreciated former US President Donald Trump’s role in easing tensions.

The premier dismissed Indian claims linking Pakistan to the Pulwama attack, calling them baseless. He reminded the international community that Pakistan has sacrificed 90,000 lives in the war against terrorism.

Ending his speech, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for long-lasting peace. He urged dialogue to resolve the Kashmir issue and reaffirmed the nation’s support for its armed forces.
