Austria’s capital, Vienna, is the most livable city in the world, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit.

The annual survey lists 173 cities globally based on five categories: infrastructure, health care, education, environment, and stability.

Vienna topped the list this year, followed by Denmark in second place and Switzerland in third.

The EIU has listed the top ten cities in the world to live in.

Four to ten Asian cities, including Auckland, New Zealand; Osaka, Japan; Sydney, Australia.

Asia’s cities continue to rise in the world’s livability rankings. In this year’s research, Hong Kong saw the largest increase in ranking, going from 61st to 50th.

Singapore City comes in at number 26 in the world. Singapore has experienced the second-largest positive movement during the last 12 months.

However, Indian cities’ livability scores have decreased, partly because of the nation’s poor air quality.

North Africa, the Middle East, or Sub-Saharan Africa to the majority of the cities included in the bottom 10.

Deputy industry director at EIU Barsali Bhattacharyya said that while global liveability has slightly increased over the past year, there are still risks to stability.

Significant worldwide protests were sparked by persistently rising inflation, excessive interest rates, and other economic difficulties in yet another year.”

London, the capital of the UK, was rated as the 45th most livable city worldwide.
